SEC高2 ニュージーランドターム留学レポート③
ニュージーランドに来てから2週間が経ちました。最初は言葉や生活の違いに戸惑うこともありましたが、今では少しずつ新しい環境に慣れてきたと感じています。 休日にはビーチや動物園に行きました。海がとてもきれいで、自然が身近にあることがニュージーランドの特徴の1つだと思いました。また動物園では日本であまり見られない動物を見ることができ、とても印象に残っています。
生活リズムは日本と大きく違い、夜ご飯の時間や就寝時間が日本よりもかなり早いです。最初はこの生活に驚きましたが、早く寝て早く起きることで、毎日を規則正しく過ごせていると感じています。 学校では現地の友達ができ、少しずつ英語で会話をする機会が増えてきました。聞き取れなかったり、うまく話せなかったりすることもありますが相手が優しく聞いてくれるので、積極的に話そうという気持ちになれます。またニュージーランドの人たちは日本人よりも自分の国が好きだという気持ちをはっきり言葉にすることが多く、そのような姿勢がとても印象的でした。
Two weeks have passed since I came to New Zealand. At first, I was confused by the language and the difference of life, but now I have got used to a new environment. I went to the beach and zoo on holidays. The sea was beautiful and I think one of the features of New Zealand is that nature is close to people. At the zoo, I could see animals that aren't seen in Japan, and it left a strong impression.
Lifestyle in New Zealand is very different from that in Japan. For example, the time to eat dinner or go to bed are early. I was surprised, but I adapted to that kind of daily life. At school, I have made a friend and have had more and more opportunities to speak English. When I can't speak well, my friend kindly listens to me. So I can try to speak actively. Also, the people in New Zealand express the feeling that they love their country more than Japanese people do, and this attitude was very impressive. (SEC S2 R.K.)
