SEC高2 ニュージーランドターム留学レポート④

ニュージーランドに来てから、三週間が経とうとしています。私は先週、ホストファミリーが変わりました。環境の変化の目まぐるしさに少し体調を崩していましたが、最近では学校にも慣れてきてモーニングティーの時間に提供される無料のパン・スープを楽しみに毎日登校しています。授業は自分の好きなものを選択でき、楽しみなものばかり。特にDramaの授業がお気に入りです。ゲームを通してクラスメイトと交流を深め、演劇をみんなで作り上げます。ニュージーランドに来たからこそ体験できる授業たちに刺激を受ける毎日です。来週には体育祭もあるそうです。放課後は現地の友達とショッピングモールに行ったり、公園でお喋りしたりしました。英語力向上のために、今後も積極的に会話していきたいです！

また、今週からダンススクールに通い始めました。英語でダンスを教わるのは難しいですが、「それなら人一倍頑張ってやろう！」と張り切っています。やりたいことを自分自身で考えて、実行するのはとても楽しいです。 今週の休日は、ホストファミリーがビーチへ連れて行ってくれました。なかなか日本ではお目にかかれないくらい広大な美しい砂浜で、とても良い経験ができました。来週は友達とお祭りに行く予定があるので、今後も楽しみがいっぱいです。とにかく悔いなく！今後の留学ライフも謳歌します！

Since I arrived in New Zealand, almost three weeks have passed. Last week, I moved to another host family. I wasn't feeling very well because everything changed so quickly, but I've gotten used to school life. Now I look forward to going every day, especially to morning tea when we get free bread and soup. At school, we can choose the subjects we'd like to learn, so I'm enjoying all of my classes. My favorite is Drama. We play games to get to know our classmates better and work together to create our own performances. I feel very inspired because these are classes I can only experience here in New Zealand. I also heard that we will have a sports festival next week, so I'm excited about that too.

After school, I sometimes go to the shopping mall with my local friends or chat in the park. To improve my English, I want to keep speaking English as much as possible.

This week, I also started going to a dance school. It's difficult to learn dance in English, but that makes me want to try even harder. It's really fun to think about what I want to do and then actually take action. Last weekend, my host family took me to the beach. The beach was so wide and beautiful--much bigger than what I usually see in Japan. It was a wonderful experience. Next week, I'm planning to go to a festival with my friends, so I have many things to look forward to. I want to make the most of my time here and enjoy my study abroad life without any regrets!
