・An Extraordinary Experience!
Exchanging to Japan was one of the best decisions of my life. At first, I had many fears such as the language barrier, fitting in, homesickness, etc. After coming to Japan, I can say that all those worries were for nothing. Everyone was extremely friendly, and, of course, there were some communication problems, but I was able to overcome them.
During my stay in Japan, I made many friends and learned a lot of new things. My Japanese improved a lot faster when I was in Japan compared to Canada.
One of the most memorable events from my exchange was the sports festival. In Canada, we never have any big sports events with the whole school participating. I had to learn the exercise dance and practice jump-roping with my classmates. On the day of the festival, I cheered along with my friends and I ran the obstacle course. In the end, I managed to flop into second place.
Every day was full of new experiences! I got to visit different places every week and do things that I've only seen in anime. At school, everyone greeted me every day. I met amazing teachers that made every lesson fun and interesting. There are so many things I want to mention, but there are way too many! Plus, most of them are so awesome that they can't be described with either English or Japanese. Thank you Mejiro Kenshin for this extraordinary experience!.
