ニュージーランドに留学をして気づいたこと
ニュージーランドに到着してから気づいたことについて説明します。
まずは、道路にラウンドアバウトと呼ばれる丸い道がたくさんあることです。この道は交差点の一種で信号機がありません。ニュージーランドは南半球の国なので夏に日が沈むのが午後9時ごろです。日が昇るのは午前7時ごろです。朝、昼と夜の寒暖差がとても大きいです。朝は10℃ぐらいですが、昼になると20℃を超えます。朝は車に霜ができるほどの寒さの日が多いです。
次に、生活について気づいたことを説明します。
食事は基本的に家で食べます。特別なことがない限り外食はしません。
ニュージーランドは水が貴重なので洗濯は週に1回しかしません。
風呂には入らず約5分でシャワーをすませないといけません。
最後に、学校生活について気づいたことを説明します。
8時半までに学校に登校しなくてはいけません。
授業は8時35分から始まります。2時間目が終わった後には中休みがあります。
その時に昼食を取ることが可能です。4時間目が終わった後にも昼休みがあります。
その時も中休みと同様に昼食を取ることが可能です。学校は基本的に3時ごろに終わります。学校では2〜3週間に1回イベントがあります。前回は運動会が行われました。競技の参加は生徒が決めることができます。僕は円盤投げとやり投げに参加しました。とても面白かったです。

The thing that I noticed about studying abroad.
The thing that I noticed when I got to New Zealand.
First thing that I noticed was the road. There is a big circle in the road. This is called a "roundabout". This is a kind of intersection, and it doesn't have a traffic light. New Zealand is a southern hemisphere country, so the sun sets around 9 p.m.
The sun rises around 7 a.m. The morning midday and the night temperature difference is big. In the morning the temperature is about 10 degrees but, in the midday, it will go over 20 degrees. In the morning there is frost on the car.
Next, I will explain what I noticed about life.
We usually eat at home. If there isn't a special thing we don't eat outside.
The water is very valuable, so we just do laundry 1 time in 1 week. We don't take a bath and just take a shower in 5 minutes.
At last, I will explain the school schedule that I noticed.
We need to go to school by 8:30.
The class starts at 8:35. After period 2 ends we have a morning teatime.
We can eat lunch at that time. After period 4 we have teatime again. We can eat lunch at that time too. The school usually ends around 3 p.m. We have 1 event between 2~3 weeks. Last time we had sports day. The students can choose what competition to join. I did discus and javelin. It was exciting.
