中国の正月
1月29日は中国の旧正月でした。私のホストファミリーはマレーシア人で、親戚には中国人がいました。そして私たちはニュージーランドに集まり、新年を祝いました。多くの親戚のうちの一部が集まりました。その親戚の中にはラグビー選手やシドニーで弁護士をしている人などがいました。私は彼らとコミュニケーションをとるのがとても楽しかったです。毎年新年、それぞれの家庭が料理を作り、持ち寄り、テーブルで食卓を囲みます。テーブルの上の料理は、中華料理からマレーシア料理、オリジナルサラダなどがありました。初めて中国の旧正月をお祝いし、新しい経験ができました。
日本茶を披露
ホストファミリーにお土産として日本の緑茶の茶葉をプレゼントしました。ホストファミリーは日本が好きだったのでとても喜んでくれました。そこで私は、ホストファミリーに緑茶を入れてあげました。そうするとニュージーランドの緑茶との違いにも気付かされました。その時に私はもっと日本のお茶を知って欲しかったので緑茶と抹茶の違いなどについても教えました。ホストファミリー以外の方にもその違いを伝えたら知らなかったや面白いなどと興味を持ってくれて嬉しかったです。

Chinese New Year's Day
Twenty ninth in January was The Chinese New Year's Day. My host family is Malaysian and relatives are Chinese. We gathered in New Zealand and celebrated The New Year's Day. Some of the relatives gathered there. There were a rugby player and a lawyer in Sydney and etc... So I was so fun to communicate with them. Every new year, each person makes dishes. After that we all brought and ate them around the table. The dishes on the table are Chinese food, Malaysian food, original salad and so on. They were all my first experience.
Revealing Japanese Green Tea
I gave Green Tea for souvenirs to host family Japanese . They love Japan, so they were pleased with it. I showed them to how to brew the tea. Then I realized the difference from New Zealand's green tea. At that time, I wanted to know more about Japanese tea, so I also taught my host family about the difference between green tea and matcha. Not only host family but also other kiwis were interested in Green tea, so I was glad to see that moment.
