【ニュージーランド】SECターム留学レポート - S.T -
僕はニュージーランドに着いてから2週間が経ち、ホストファミリーとの会話以外にも出かけた先では店員と、学校ではクラスメイトや留学生同士で英語で会話する機会が多くありました。今回の留学が僕にとって初めての海外ということやSECの中でも自分の英語を使うことの経験が他のクラスメイトより少ないと感じていてました。しかし日本でその経験の差を感じてはいても、ニュージーランドで自分が話す英語が通じて会話ができたときにとても大きな喜びを感じ、英語に自信がついてきました。これからもホストファミリーや学校の中で英語を使う機会を増やしていきたいです。 ニュージーランドに着いてから、何回か出かける機会がありました。その先で色々な文化が交わっているように感じました。中華料理店や中国の食べ物のお店が集中している場所もあれば、インド料理やインドのものを扱うスーパーマーケット、日本で売られている調味料やお菓子などを売っているお店もありました。学校の中でも、「ニュージーランド生まれであっても親は違う国」というような人が多くいるように感じます。色々な文化があるのはニュージーランドのような国ならではのことであるように感じました。

Two weeks had passed since we arrived in New Zealand. I have many opportunities to have conversations with my host family, clerks when I go somewhere, students and other international students in school. This is my first time to go abroad、and I often feel I have less eperieinces to stay in foreging coutries and speak English comapred to my classmates in SEC. However I feel immense happiness when I can communicate with others in English and these experiences make me have confidence in speaking English. I want to talk more to others in English. I have been somewhere after arriving in New Zealand. And I felt that there are many cultures there. For example, there are places which have some Chinese restaurants and stores, Indian restaurants and supermarkets, and stores which sell Japanese things. In school, I felt there are many New Zealander students whose parents are from abroad. I thought the existence of various cultures is a character of New Zealand.
