【ニュージーランド】エイボンサイドガールズハイスクールより - N.H. -
ニュージーランドでの留学生活が始まってから、約一ヶ月が経ちました。初めは食べ物や気候、文化の違いなどで不安なことがたくさんありましたが、今はホストファミリーや友達のおかげで楽しく生活できています。私の通っている学校にはたくさんの留学生がおり、ニュージーランドだけでなく、さまざまな国の文化を日常的に学ぶことができます。私のホストシスターも、ベトナムからの留学生でローズという名前です。他にも、タイ、韓国、中国、インド、フィンランド、ドイツ、スペインなど、さまざまな国の友達ができました。コミュニケーションを取るにはやはり英語を使わなければならないので、苦戦することもありますが、調べたり簡単な表現に言い換えたりして会話をしています。異国の友達から聞く話はとても興味深く、毎日新たな発見ばかりです。
ニュージーランドは自然が豊かで、海も山もとても美しいです。学校の近くにもきれいなビーチがたくさんあるので、毎週金曜日にサーフィンをしています。また、先日友達のホストファミリーのファミリートリップに参加し、カイコウラという海の街に行きました。そこでは野生のアザラシや珍しい鳥を見ることができ、日本ではなかなか見られないような景色ばかりでした。
そして、ホストファミリーとラグビーの試合を見に行ったりもしました。応援していたチームは負けてしまいましたが、ホストシスターとユニフォームを着て応援した時間はとても楽しかったです。
毎日学びのある充実した日々を過ごしていますが、そんな留学生活も残すところ約一ヶ月となりました。貴重な時間を大切にしながら、これからも頑張っていきたいと思います。

It has been about a month since I started studying abroad in New Zealand. At first, I was anxious because life in New Zealand is different from life in Japan, such as the food, climate, and customs. However, I'm now enjoying my life thanks to the support of my host family and friends. There are many international students at my school, so I can learn about many different countries and cultures.
My host sister is also an international student from Vietnam. Her name is Rose. I have also made friends from Korea, Thailand, China, India, Finland, Germany, and Spain. I have to use English to communicate with them. They always tell me interesting stories, and I discover something new every day.
New Zealand has a lot of beautiful nature, and both the ocean and the mountains are amazing. I go surfing at a nearby beach every Friday. I also joined my friend's host family on a trip and went to Kaikoura. It is a town by the ocean, and I saw wild seals and rare birds there. I was able to see beautiful views that I cannot see in Japan.
I also went to watch a rugby game with my host family. My host sister and I wore team uniforms and cheered for the team, but unfortunately, the team lost.
I'm having wonderful days and learning a lot. However, I only have one more month left here. I will cherish this precious time and continue to do my best.
