【オーストラリア】留学レポート - F.T. -
オーストラリアに来てから約一ヶ月半が経ちました。この土地の生活にも慣れてきて、スーパーやショッピングモールに気軽に行けるようになりました。どのスーパーも基本的に簡単に出られない構造になっているので、買いたいものがなかったときにちゃんと出れるか不安になります。どの商品も日本のものとは違うパッケージで見ているだけでも楽しいです。行ったことのないお店にも挑戦してみたいです。
学校での生活にも慣れてきました。先週は数学と理科のテストを受けました。いつもは長机に四人並びで座っているのですが、テストを受けるとき、椅子を机の向かい側に移動させて間隔を空けて四人おきに座りました。日本とはテストを受けるときのルールが異なっていて新鮮でした。また、テスト中にノートを見ても構わないと声掛けされたときはすごく驚きました。数学では現地の生徒は授業中もテスト中も電卓を使用しており、日本とオーストラリアの教育の違いを感じました。
また、私は2月に16歳の誕生日を迎えました。ホストファミリーと私の誕生日とホストファザーの誕生日、それからルナニューイヤーを祝いました。またオーストラリアで友達になった子から、コアラの編みぐるみをプレゼントしてもらいました。編み物に興味があったので、その子に編み物について聞いたり、編み物のキットをもらったり親交が深められて嬉しかったです。とっても良い思い出になりました！
あっという間に一ヶ月半が経ってしまいました。残りの時間も楽しみながら学びを深めていきたいです。

It's been one and a half months since I came to Australia. I'm getting used to living in this country and I can go to supermarkets and shopping centers at will. Supermarkets here have automatic gates at the exit, so I can't leave easily if I don't buy anything. Every product is different from the ones in Japan, so I like to see them. I want to try shops that I haven't been to.
I'm getting used to living in my school as well. Last week I had math and science exams. When I take an exam, I moved our chairs to the other side of the desks so that we could sit one seat apart. It's different from Japan. Also, I was surprised when a teacher said "you can see your notebook " . In math class and on math exams, all the local students use calculators. I felt the difference in education between Japan and Australia.
I turned 16 in February.I celebrated my birthday, my host father's birthday, and Lunar New Year with my host family.A friend I made in Australia gave me a koala crocheted doll as a birthday present. I was interested in knitting, so I asked her about it and she even gave me a knitting kit. I was really happy that we could become closer through knitting. It became a very special and wonderful memory for me！
Time has gone by very fast. I want to keep learning and enjoying my time in this country.
