It has been one month since I came to Australia, and compared to when I first arrived, I have gradually gotten used to my new life here. In school, I joined the volleyball club, where I practice with local students and take pictures together after practice. I am really enjoying these activities. We also have games against other schools on weekends, and my teammates encourage me by saying things like "You can do it," which motivates me. Through sports, I have been able to connect with others and gain valuable experiences.
In outdoor education class, we do activities such as hiking and kayaking, which are not very common in Japan. Instead of only studying in the classroom, learning while moving our bodies in nature feels very fresh and exciting.
After school, I sometimes go to the mall or the beach with my classmates, and I am able to have experiences that I wouldn't usually have in Japan.
My host family is very kind, and recently I have been able to speak to them more proactively compared to when I first arrived. I can now talk about my school life with them as well. For the remaining month, I will continue to challenge myself and do my best so that I have no regrets.
