On Wednesday, I went with Saito sensei to the Edo-Tokyo museum. We saw the Ukiyo-e exhibition. There were prints from 5 artists: Kitagawa Utamaro, Toshusai Saraku, Hokusai Katsushika, Hiroshige Utagawa and Kuniyoshi Utagawa. My favorites were Hokusai and Hiroshige. The art was very beautiful. Then we went to the Edo exhibition. There were many replicas of the Edo period. There were also maps, and lots of artefacts. It was very interesting. I learned a lot. Japan has changed a lot in a very small time. After the museum, we had tempura for lunch. It was very good.

水曜日に斎藤先生と江戸東京博物館に行きました。浮世絵展覧会を見ました。5人のアーティストの版画がありました。例えば、歌麿さん、写楽さん、北斎さん、歌川広重さん、国芳さんがあります。版画はとてもきれいでした。そして江戸展覧会に行きました。たくさん江戸のレプリカがありました。たくさん地図と江戸の物がありました。とても面白かったです。昼食にてんぷらを食べました。
